whenever an item i love has final sale stamped on the tag its like a life or death kind of decision: do i really want to risk it? are these shoes really worth it? what if they end up giving me blisters before i walk out my front door? what if they don't go with anything in my closet? what if i end up hating them once i get home? all those questions, and loads more, race through my mind the minute i read those two little words every time. what makes the situation even worse is when this happens for an item that is only available online. its honestly the worst situation for me. the questions that run through my mind now multiple by the second because not only can i not try it on, but i also can't return or exchange it, but somehow, after what feels like hours of deliberation, i always end up making making the right decision somehow.
now this little rant about online shopping and final sales basically describes one of my latest purchases. i've recently become obsessed with the online retailer sole society. as the name suggests, sole society is a shoe based retailer, but they also offer bags, jewelry, and accessories on their website. another really cool thing about them is that they have an exclusive collection of shoes from julianne hough. a lot of their shoes are supper cute, and as a prepster on a budget i just couldn't allow myself to get any of them until i had found an awesome discount. whenever i find a new retailer that i love, or really like, i always sign up for their emails so i know when the latest promotion or discount becomes available. sole society does give you a discount for signing up which, whether i think the discount is one that i'll use or not, always give the retailer a gold star in my head.
although i received a discount for signing up for emails, it did not apply for the shoes i wanted at the time so i decided to do what my mom always advised me to do when it came to an item i love, i waited and watched it. you see the beauty about signing up for emails is that you get reminded at least once a week when a sale is going on, and one of my favorite emails to receive is "news arrivals now up to 50% off select styles." not only does sole society do this, but j. crew factory does as well, and this is when retailers get me to spend the most of my money (unfortunately for me). its when i received this email from sole society that i got the shoes i had been watching; this is also where the final sale anxiety started kicking in. the shoes that i had been day dreaming about for days upon days were now half off with free shipping, but because of the discount they were now market as final sale. i have never bought anything from sole society before this so i didn't know how they would fit: should i get a 7.5 or 8? what if the heel is too stiff? what if they pinch my pinky toes? a lot of these questions went through my mind, but i decided to bite the bullet and get the shoes. i mean just look at how gorgeous they are!

my last comment about sole society is that i highly suggest signing up for their emails, of course. they also have an awesome invite a friend discount, so my friends and readers help a girl on a budget out and click this cute button i made. by following the link you'll be brought to sole society's website and i'll get a discount after you've made your fist purchase!
