this confession is probably making me sound more cold hearted or cynical than i really am because i do acknowledge valentine's day on the 14th, i just do it in a non-materialistic way. while being in a long distance relationship, it's much harder to pull this off than if we were both together back home, but i've come up with a way. i'm doing something a bit old school, and something i think people should overall do more often. i'll be hand writing a letter and sending it in the mail. there's just something really romantic, at least i think, about sending each other love letters, or just plain letters, in the mail. it's something that doesn't happen often and will last much longer than a text ever would ... unless you end up printing out a text which would just be weird.
so my dearest darlings, would you rather receive a letter from someone like years past or continue with today's newest traditions?
